MYTH - Moving Youth Theatre is looking for 2 actors from Munich!

About us:

We are an international young team of professional actors, musicians and artists sharing its enthusiasm for drama with young people. We perform short one-act-plays from contemporary playwrights which fit into the modern classroom and offer workshops for kids. The head of MYTH is an experienced English teacher and director who has been working with children, students and adults for over 20 years.
As the plays are offered over a longer period of time, we need a pool of actors now who can substitute for school shows and are willing to do more than just acting. To keep costs low we have no technician, assistant or box officer. This means we need committed and enthusiastic actors who do not consider themselves to be too good for anything.

For 2008/09 we offer two plays: “Flippin In” and “Living with Lady Macbeth”. The last play “Flippin In” was about two high school students who earn their money at KwikBiteys, a fast food restaurant. Similar to the recent Burger King affair this play deals with the attempt to form a union which is never easy. The new play is about two girls, who want to act in the school production of “Macbeth”. As they are rather dull, unattractive, untalented and totally ordinary no one thinks they have a chance. But they manage to prove the opposite. Their hero is Lady Macbeth so they start to learn her lines, understand her feelings, almost act like a lady and are about to plan murder…

Actor for "Barry" - Playing age: 15-17

Actress for Mother / teacher Ms Bevis / young girl - Playing age: 15 to 45

Our next premiere is on 10th of October at the America House in Munich. Other shows follow on 17th and 24th of October. Schools can book us and you should be able to perform at daytime from 12.10.-31.12.08 on weekdays.
Payment starts when costs are covered, i.e. appr. 100 € per school-show per actor and 100 € per workshop per actor. Workshops can be held on request after the show. We will play in Munich mainly, but may also travel short distances like Augsburg or Starnberg to perform there.

You should be flexibel for rehearsels which will take place in the morning and also in the evening.
